I'M BACK! With Cockroaches!

I has been tooooo long! I am in the blogging mood again!

We are currently in North Carolina for Jer's work...I'm not gunna lie, I might as well be in another country! Not kidding when I say Utah is POSH compared to this place! All you "Utahns" are spoiled! Although, The Super green wooded surroundings are a beautiful change.

My biggest HOLY CRAP moment has got to be the morning Ellie woke me up (too early in the morning might I ad...) saying "Mommy, something is crawling on the wall!" That got me up cause I'm a wussy when it comes to foreign creatures! So I look over, & sure enough it's the biggest bleepin Cockroach i've EVER seen! I've got to say that i'm not even sure that i've actually, physically seen a Cockroach before...So nice introduction! I felt like screaming "WELCOME TO THE DIRTY SOUTH!!!" That is a perfect saying by the way. So to wrap up this exciting story, I indeed KILLED that disgusting creature!!! YEAH!!! I could'nt show weakness in front of my kid right?!

This is a current picture of my dad... He has been really exhausted since they started physical therapy. Each session for him is equivalent to a 10 mile run.
He has been so strong through this whole ordeal, we are sooo proud of him! I love when I walk into his room & say "Hi daddy, it's Amberlie" and he opens his hand and waits for me to hold it, then he gives me a big squeeze. It's nice to know he recognizes when we're there. He even has his own way of telling me he loves me...I always know, so when I say I love you too dad, he blinks his eyes, & squeezes my hand. I really do LOVE the time I have with my dad, & I will cherish it forever!

The first update...
As you may have heard, our dad was in a horrible accident on Thursday morning around 1:00 am on I-15. We have created this blog in an attempt to keep everyone informed of his status and progress as time goes by. We realize that there will be many who wish to express their love and concern and also want to hear how things are going. We all are very busy in dealing with this life changing event, but want you all to know how much we appreciate your genuine concern for our family. It will be difficult to answer phone calls and questions, so we kindly ask you to refer to this blog as we will do our best to keep it current. We, as well as our dad, would greatly appreciate any words of encouragement or expressions of love. Please feel free to comment on this blog, as this will serve as a journal for the road we are about to travel down. Thank you again on behalf of our family, especially our dad! Let's Go To School!

My sweet little Sadie lady started school. I have to admit that I was really nervous! The thought of her leaving me everyday was freaking me out! I was not thinking of it as a "break" at all. She has absolutly loved doing her workbooks or in her words "homework" these last months, while we were vamping up (i love that word-vamping...I know i'm random.) for school to start. So I knew she would love every bit of school...And yes she even loves the homework-who's daughter is she anyway?

Now that she has been in school a month, I have realized a few things.

1. She is not a morning person! By her 2nd day of school she was already crying "I don't need to go to school, I can just go back to sleep"!

2. It has caused Ellie to be even more independant- as if that was possible! Now she doesent even need me to arrange play dates, she does it herself!

3. Morning Kindergarten is overrated! I don't get more done, the time goes by too flippin' fast!

4. Lastly, It reminds me everyday how much I have been blessed! The time with my family, and especially our growing girls is the most important thing I have! I love them!

My Nephew Cal, what a STUD! He had just gotten potty trained & I could not resist this very public, very funny moment!!!

Sadie & Isabelle LOVED the swings! In fact where can I buy one of these Swing rides??? This would definitly be an investment! I could just hose off the kids after their barf-a-rama!

Can you tell my girls miss their boys... According to Ellie (3 1/2) she is going to marry Jesse Zinn. Don't ask me where she gets this from, I am certainly not encouraging it! If that is not bad enough... Sadie is going to marry Jesse's big brother Jacob (not shown). I have got to say that my girl's would be very lucky to get Amy & Rico for In-laws!!! We love them!

Too bad we still don't live down the street.

Easter Morning

Ellie was running around looking for her basket, sooo excited... She was sure that if she ran outside she would still be able to see The Easter Bunny leaving.

Sadie is having a problem taking her eyes off the basket to smile her great smile for the camera.

Our little bunny rabbits. I decided that since they got tons of Easter Eggs at our family Easter Egg Hunt, that we should hold off on the candy... It was a good idea since I may have found a cavity in Ellie's mouth. She will do anything to get her little hands on some good candy.

I'm pretty sure the whole Hanks family has a "special spot" in their hearts for this course. They have been golfing here every summer of their lives. Now that the "ladie's" are golfing too, they get to share it with us. Whether they want to or not...But really, who dosen't like golfing with some SMOKIN' HOT chicks!

We were very excited about our "Dream Night" at The Hogle Zoo. Shriners Hospital invites their patients every year to this event. They have the Zoo exclusive from 5pm-9pm, & they provide dinner, live music, and tons of perks... Gift bags etc. I can't say enough about how wonderful I think Shriners Hopsital is. Every time we had to go there, it was like a "whoa" moment for me. I am so blessed to have two beautiful, happy, smart, & healthy daughters.

So Dream Night actually ended up being on the same night as Sadie's 4th birthday, so this is how we celebrated our beautiful Sadie Lady. She LOVVVED it!!! We all had a great time. My mom Linda (a.k.a. Lu Lu) came with us.
